You can cancel at any time up to 2 weeks prior to the start of the online course and receive a refund of the monies paid towards that course. If you cancel your booking during the period of 2 weeks immediately prior to the start of the course, we will refund the monies minus a booking fee of €150 and any costs already incurred. Cancellations must be by email sent to email@example.com and will be considered to have been given when the email has been received. We reserve the right to cancel the contract for our attendance at any time prior to the start of the course in which case we will refund your monies paid in full.

Neither Write About Science nor any of Mark Buchanan or Justin Mullins (together the “Individuals”) is liable for any consequential, indirect or special loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses or for loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, wasted expenditure, loss of privacy or loss of data.
The total liability of Write About Science and the Individuals in aggregate in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise arising in connection with the performance, or contemplated performance, of the contract arising out of your booking or that arises in any other way or our attendance at one of the bookings shall be limited to the amount of the fee paid by you for the relevant course. This does not limit or exclude our liability to the extent it cannot be lawfully limited or excluded.
Formation of the contract
Your booking constitutes an offer to us to conduct a course. All bookings are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by email (the “Acceptance Confirmation”). The contract between us will only be formed when you are sent the Acceptance Confirmation.
Events beyond our reasonable control
Neither Write About Science nor any of the Individuals will have any liability to you in relation to your booking if Write About Science is prevented from, or delayed in, performing our obligations in relation to such booking by acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond our reasonable control, including (without limitation) strikes, failure of a utility service or transport network, act of God, civil commotion, compliance with any law or governmental order, fire, flood, storm or default of any supplier.
The registration in accordance with the terms of this contract constitutes the whole agreement between the parties and supersedes all previous agreements between the parties relating to its subject matter.
Governing law and jurisdiction
The contract relating to the registration arising in accordance with the terms of this website, and any dispute or claim arising out of it or in connection with its subject matter, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales. The parties irrevocably agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of, or in connection with, that contract or its subject matter.
